Yard Armour Mosquito Control
Yard Armour® Mosquito Control

Mosquitoes aren’t just annoying, they can make you sick. With Yard Armour from Lawn Doctor of Charleston, controlling the mosquito population in your yard has never been easier. Our approach targets not only adult mosquitoes but also their eggs, larvae, and breeding areas, effectively preventing infestations at the source.

Through regularly scheduled treatments, we ensure that your outdoor spaces remain comfortable and pest-free. Lawn Doctor’s mosquito control sprays can help you enjoy your yard to its fullest potential. Our Yard Armour Annual Mosquito Control Plan ensures your property is protected with a series of applications timed specifically to your local temperature and the outbreak of mosquitoes in your area.

From prevention to control and maintenance, Yard Armour covers all the bases to eliminate live mosquitoes and prevent the hatching of new pests. Your yard will be protected with applications scheduled every 21-28 days between March and October. Mosquito prevention starts with an early application that prevents mosquitoes from breeding. Our control applications reduce the number of pests and provide a barrier against them entering your yard.

Lawn Doctor of Charleston will help you choose the plan that works best for your yard and your family’s needs. For more information, call us and we’ll explain how each application works, the options available to you, and the schedule we recommend for your property.

Mosquito Facts & Tips for a Healthy Home

Remove Standing Water – Standing water is integral to the life cycle of mosquitoes and is highly influential on the overall number of mosquitos produced. Water allowed to “stand” for five days or more can become a mosquito-breeding site. Some types can develop in water amounts as low as a tablespoon (in other words, as little as a bottle cap!)

Danger to Humans and Pets – South Carolina’s Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) lists West Nile, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, La Crosse encephalitis, St. Louis encephalitis virus, and dog/cat worm as common diseases that can be vectored by mosquitos.

Mosquito Lifespan – Mature female mosquitos generally require a blood meal prior to egg production and can lay masses of 50 to 200 eggs at a time in or on a water source. The life cycle, from egg to adult, takes approximately 8-10 days.
