Lawn Doctor of Friendswood and League City TX is owned and operated by Bill Harris, a long-time resident of the Heritage Park section of Friendswood. Both Friendswood and League City are part of the Houston/The Woodlands/Sugar Land metropolitan area, and according to Bill, the region’s biggest lawn care challenges include weeds, insects, fungus and poor soil. This makes fertilization, weed and insect control an important part of his Lawn Doctor business.
Prior to Lawn Doctor, Bill preferred being a lawn care “do-it-your-selfer,” but like many homeowners found there wasn’t enough time to do it properly. “It is very exciting to be out in the community and providing a service that many people in the area need and want,” he says. “From my perspective, an attractive lawn gives a good first impression of the home and the homeowner, and is an indicator of how well the property as a whole is maintained,” Bill observes. “Also, a nice-looking lawn and well cared for landscape increases curb appeal, leading to enhanced property values.”
Friendswood has a unique blend of natural trails, lush landscaping, beautiful parks and a championship golf course. It encompasses parts of two counties, Northern Galveston and southern Harris County, divided by Clear Creek. League City has the third largest boating anchorage in the US, and is home to several popular waterside resorts and the Big League Dreams Sports Park, a large baseball/softball complex.
